From Apartment Mühle in a few minutes accessible you will find the family mountain Maiskogel, directly in the center of Kaprun.

The Maiskogel is known and popular as the family mountain of the Zell am See-Kaprun holiday region. Here both small and grown-up guests feel happy and content. Summer or winter, nobody suffers from boredom during a holiday on the Maiskogel. During summer the Maiskogel is the perfect hiking destination. Countless Alpine huts offer Austrian delicacies.

Holidays on the Maiskogel: unforgettable winter fun

There is no lack of winter pleasures either, as the Maiskogel also guarantees skiing pleasures for the entire family. The family-friendly skiing area offers modern lifts and numerous snack huts. Maiskogel: the elevated mountain raceway adds some thrills to your holiday.

This is a magnificent highlight nobody should miss: the so-called "Maisiflitzer", an all-year tobogganing track with tight corners, long straights and five roundabouts. You can choose your own speed. Those who love a bit of speed can race down into the valley at up to 40km/h.

Ski Touring

You want to climb up the mountain with your touring skis? The Maiskogel is perfect for beginners and enthusiasts. The slopes are closed exclusively for  ski touring every Wednesday evening from 4-10 pm. Enjoy a wonderful view over Kaprun at night.

Lechnerberg – meeting place for kids & beginners

The Lechnerberg, in the center of Kaprun is THE family & newcomer tip: relaxing piste enjoyment on a gentle slope which is just perfect for beginners and children.

This gently sloping run is ideal terrain for their first turns, as well as for the colorfully varied ski school „Kinderlands“. The “Lechnerberg rail garden” ensures lots of freestyle fun. The Park is the ideal place for easygoing sundown sessions and it offers optimal training possibilities for cool kids and beginners.
